Start the New Year on the Trail!
Ring in 2026 with Wildlands Conservancy at our First Day Hike! This is the perfect way to kick off the year outdoors and reconnect with nature.

Parking:
Please park at the Franko Farm Recreation Area parking lot located at
1339 Black River Rd, Allentown, PA 18103.

First Day Hike:
Join Nicole Landis, Senior Community Engagement Specialist, and Michael Hock, Preserve Manager, for a guided hike beginning promptly at 10:00 AM. Enjoy interpretive stops along the way as you explore winter ecology, land preservation stories, and seasonal wildlife sightings.

What to Expect:

  • Route is approximately 2 – 2.5 miles
  • Moderate to challenging terrain featuring rocky, rooty, and sometimes steep sections
  • Celebrate your climb and the new year with a toast – your pick of mocktail or coffee from Zekraft!
  • Spectacular winter scenery and a rejuvenating start to 2026

Who’s Welcome: All ages and experience levels!

What to Bring: Dress for the weather, wear sturdy hiking shoes, and bring water.
