Put on some green and let’s get outside! A moderate to strenuous 3-mile hike to Alden Mountain in Nanticoke is planned for Saint Patrick’s Day weekend.
Paula and Brian will lead us at an easy pace along the varied terrain. The first segment of the hike is uphill for approximately 300 feet and will be strenuous for inexperienced hikers and small children. The trail opens up for some lovely scenic views, and along Reservoir Creek we will see waterfalls. The area was once Earth Conservancy property, but is now under the protection of the State Forest.
Hikers are encouraged to wear sturdy shoes (bring hiking poles, if you need them) and dress for winter/early spring weather.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for the hike begins promptly at 10:00 am. The hike will be cancelled if there is inclement weather.
The participation is limit, so don’t delay, register today at http://www.nblt.org/events by 5 pm Thursday, March 14th
