NEPA September 2021 Trail of the Month

D&H Rail Trail

We are back in action with our Trail of the Month program! Each month, we will feature a trail in the NEPA area. This month enter miles at D&H Rail Trail by September 30 for a chance to win a $50 REI Gift Card! Reminder: you don’t need to ride the whole trail – any time spent on the trail is good for an entry! And if you take any good photos from your visit, send them to tailonthetrail@gmail.com

Trail Information – D&H Trail, named 2021’s Trail of the Year by the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources! :

Spanning 38 miles across three counties, the D&H Rail-Trail follows the Delaware & Hudson Railway corridor that transported anthracite coal in the second half of the 19th century. Connecting historic towns, lakes, rivers and farms from the Lackawanna Valley to the Endless Mountains, the trail offers four seasons of enjoyment, enticing hikers, bikers, equestrians and snowmobilers.
