Many denominations of Christian faith call downtown their home. Join the First Presbyterian Church, one of the first four denominations in the Wyoming Valley, in a walk exploring Christian places of worship in the southern part of Wilkes-Barre’s Downtown. Walk Leader: Matthew Schooley, First Presbyterian Church.
- Wear comfortable shoes and bring water
- In the event of extreme heat or rain, the walk will be postponed to the following day at the same time
- Departing promptly at 6:00 pm from the YMCA lobby
Y Walk Wednesdays is a series of free, guided evening walks featuring downtown neighborhoods, history, walking and health, architecture, wildlife and new development in Wilkes-Barre.
