Spring Walk
The winter will finally be over and hopefully the cold weather is over until next winter. It is time to spend more time outdoors and appreciate the natural wonders around us. Greater Hazleton Rails to Trails (GHRT) is the Hazleton Area’s best place to take a walk. The trail begins just southeast of downtown Hazleton off Route 93 / E. Broad Street near the intersection of Route 424. Audra, a former AmeriCorps VISTA, will be leading a 5-mile walk at GHRT on Saturday March 21 at 11:00 am. The walk will begin at the beginning off the trail and continue to Dreck Creek Reservoir. We will take a short break at a scenic location overlooking the reservoir. There are benches and picnic tables to sit and have a short rest. Then we will head back to the parking lot. It is great to get people from the area together and enjoy the outdoors while getting exercise. Everyone is welcome, including pets. So come out and join the Spring Walk on March 21 at 11:00 am.
