Our annual challenge pushes our members to run, walk, bike, and paddle ride their way to 165 miles between May 1 and November 15 to earn our virtual badge and a great incentive! Log your miles on your own time and at your own pace.

Join us for a FREE group led walk, run or bike ride after a quick warm up at the Sand Island Trailhead in Bethlehem!

In honor of America250 this year’s 165-Mile Challenge Kick Off will integrate historical components into the recreation activities.

Join us for the following:

  • 1.5 mile Walk and History Talk through the Colonial Industrial Quarter led by Historic Bethlehem. Explore the connection between the Moravian Community in Bethlehem and the Revolutionary War during this guided greenway walk.
  • 3 Mile Fun Run: Enjoy views of the Lehigh Canal, Lehigh River, and historical structures as you run along the D&L Trail.
  • 12 Mile Bike to the Bell: Bike along the D&L Trail, through Allentown, to where the Liberty Bell was held during the Revolutionary War. Ride includes an escort provided by the Allentown Police Department. Bring your own bike. Helmets required.

Click here to preview the routes.

Start your next challenge off on the right foot! Bring your family and friends (even furry ones!)

As a bonus, if you log 17.76 miles during July, you’ll receive a special virtual badge!
