Over the 30 day period, we challenge you to log 30 miles on a path to healthy habits and a healthy you. The Move More in April Challenge is the fourth challenge using the new and improved Tail on the Trail website which now tracks a lot more details (time spent exercising, healthy lifestyle habits, group data and more) and helps program coordinators continue to expand and fund this nationally recognized program.
In order to be eligible for a Tail on the Trail incentive at the end of the Move More in April Challenge, you must use the online Trail Tracker to log at least 30 miles between April 1 and 11:59pm on April 30. Miles completed (or entered online) outside those dates would not count. You can use many exercise types (walk, bike, run, hike, rollerblade . . ) and many locations (trails, neighborhood sidewalks, outdoor track, the beach). The bottom line is to GET OUT and GET ACTIVE! If bad weather forces you indoors, there is an option to log miles completed on indoor cardio equipment like treadmills and ellipticals and when weather improves we hope you get back outdoors for the added benefits of fresh air, improved mental health, experiencing nature, and learning about the history along the regional trails.
