The annual Get Your Tail on the Trail 30/30 Winter Challenge 2023 starts on January 28th and runs through February 28th this year. The goal of this challenge is to log 30 miles in 30 days. Even during cold months it is important to stay active. Any exercise is good exercise; every mile counts. Walking and running on a tread mill, riding a stationary bike or lapping the pool at your local health club are all great ways to beat the cold this time of year. However, don’t forget getting outside has its own positive health effects and having fun while you exercise makes it a lot easier to get up and go. So have some fun with winter sports while you log those miles. Downhill and cross country skiing, ice skating, fat tire biking, snow shoeing and winter backpacking are all great ways to enjoy the outdoors during the colder months. Whatever you choose to do make sure to log the miles so that you not only feel happy and healthy, but you also earn a prize.
