April showers bring May challenges! Spring has sprung so it’s time to get your tail on the trail and log miles for our 11th annual 165-Mile Challenge from May 1st through November 10th. Why 165 miles? That’s the length of the D&L Trail!

Explore the outdoors and enjoy the warmer weather and longer days to improve your physical fitness and mental health. Follow the Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage corridor on Facebook for D&L Trail conditions, events, and more. Log your miles in the historic canal or on the towpath at the National Canal Museum, which offers paddleboat, canoe, kayak, and bike rentals.

Along the way, join us for our monthly Health and  Heritage Walks occurring throughout the corridor.

Whether you like to paddle, bike, run, walk, or roll, our scenic Eastern Pennsylvania landscape has a trail for you! From the Circuit Trails of Greater Philadelphia to the Lehigh Valley’s THE LINK Trail Network and the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail in Northeastern Pennsylvania (NEPA), countless adventures await you in our region.

Follow Get Your Tail on the Trail on Facebook to get motivated and share trail selfies with our community! Follow SLUHNWellNow on Facebook for healthy living tips. If you’re a Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter member, follow our NEPA Facebook page too.

165 Kick off is Cancelled

Our kickoff event for May 5th, 2024 at Sand Island in Bethlehem has been canclled due to rain. Due to the temperatures, the level of rain that has fallen, and will continue to fall, and the overall safety of our participants we have regrettfully decided to cancel the kick off event for the day. The 2024 165 Challenge began May 1 and runs through November 10th this year. Log 165 miles during this time to earn this challenge.
