Are you looking for opportunities for group exercise without the added layer of education? The Miles for Health walks were created with you in mind. Join a group of like-minded individuals who want to get out on the trail, meet some new people, and get moving. The Bushkill Township Trail is a 2-mile ADA-compliant gravel trail running north out of Jacobsburg State Park and Environmental Education Center along the old railbed of the Slate Belt Trolley and along the main stem of Sobers Run, an Exceptional Value stream with a beautiful wooded corridor. This out and back walk will cover the two miles between Bushkill Township Trailhead and Jacobsburg State Park. Parking: Bushkill Township Trail trailhead (40 49’ 36.54”N, -75 18’ 51.47”W) is located along Route 512 approximately 1 mile south of Wind Gap, with eleven (11) regular and three (3) ADA-compliant parking spots.
