Join the EMHR and DCNR for the fin al event in our Sullivan County Hikes and Bikes series: The Loyalsock Stat e Forest Cycling Challenge! This two-day cycling trip will be held Saturda y and Sunday\, Oct. 9-10\, and allow cyclists to experience the beautiful fall foliage of our region! Participants will meet at the the Bridle Trail Camping Area at the intersection of High Knob and Shanerburg Roads (41.43 7768\, -76.6097787) by 9:30 a.m. to sign-in. Those who plan to spend the n ight will also have the opportunity to set up camp. Following a safety bri efing and overview of the ride\, participants will then embark on an appro ximately 37-mile ride along dirt and gravel roads throughout the State For est. We expect to be on the road by 10:30 a.m. Upon returning in the late afternoon\, there will be a trip to nearby Eagles Mere\, including a provi ded dinner an educational talk from the Eagles Mere Conservancy. Participa nts will also have the opportunity to explore the town. Staff in a pickup truck will be follow ing the group and on standby throughout the ride to provide any necessary aid.
