SUMMARY:Hike the D&amp\;H Rail Trail with EMHR and the Rail Trail Council o
 f NEPA
DESCRIPTION:Come join Endless Mountains Heritage Region as we make our way 
 to Susquehanna County to experience the D&amp\;H Rail Trail! This overnigh
 t two-day hike will begin at the Thompson trail head on Saturday\, August
  16\, at 11 a.m. for registration and sign in. We ask you please park nea
 r Twin Ponds on Perry Road (41.857054\, -75.538511) in Thompson.\n\nThe fi
 rst day of this hiking adventure will begin after registration and will be
  approximately 9 miles on a flat route\, led by a member of the Rail Trail
  Council. We will walk north to Buck Falls\, stop for a late lunch/break\,
  and return back to the Thompson trailhead. Please pack your own lunch/sna
 cks for the trail.\nOvernight accommodations can be found at Camp Blueston
 e\, two miles from the Thompson trailhead location\, in Ariat. Overnight s
 upplies are also needed to camp: a tent\, sleeping bag\, etc. The evening 
 will be filled with games\, food\, campfire and fellowship. Participants h
 ave the options of making their own lodging accommodations\, tent camping 
 at Bluestone (included in cost)\, or contacting Camp Bluestone to reserve 
 one of their cabins. More information on Camp Bluestone can be found at:

 ded by a local restaurant and will be served at approximately 6 p.m.\n\nOn
  Sunday\, we will depart from the Luciana Park in Lanesboro and travel Sou
 th to Brandt Gorge by 8:30 a.m.\, again led by the Rail Trail Council on a
 n easy and somewhat flat route. This hike will be about 5 miles. Please pl
 an accordingly for lunch or snacks again this day.\n\nThe cost to attend t
 his event is $10\, which will help support a local restaurant in Susquehan
 na County. Please register at www.emheritage.org/events.
