 ere are many surprises in the 182 acres of Glen Run Nature Preserve in sou
 th Stroudsburg\, Pa.\nDuring a guided hike on Saturday\, Nov. 16\, sponsor
 ed by Brodhead Watershed Association\, participants will discover these de
 lights for themselves.\nFour miles of trails offer invigorating hikes\, ex
 citing switchbacks for mountain bikers (helpfully maintained by Pocono Bik
 e Club along with preserve owner Pocono Heritage Land Trust)\, a small lak
 e\, the remnants of a Victorian mansion\, and a forested cliff that provid
 es mile-long views.\nThe land\, once earmarked for a housing development\,
  has so much to offer someone looking for a few surprises outside.\n++++++

 ate hike on land protected by Pocono Heritage Land Trust. Trail is 2.5 mil
