SUMMARY:EMHR’s Mt. Pisgah State Park Night Hike
DESCRIPTION:Grab your flashlight and head to Mt. Pisgah State Park for Endl
 ess Mountains Heritage\nRegion’s night hike on Saturday\, Sept. 26. Part
 icipants will meet at the Nature Center at Mt.\nPisgah State Park (41.8073
 36\, -76.667291) at 7 p.m. for registration and check in.\n\nParticipants 
 can look at the moon through a telescope and join a guest educator from\nC
 herry Springs State Park in viewing lunar natural features and discovering
  where moon\nlandings took place among them. After a brief presentation on
  the size and scale of the\nmoon\, embark on an amazing telescope tour of 
 the moon’s surface. In the event of cloud-\ncover\, we will offer a pres
 entation on moon phases\, moon formation\, and moon landings.\n\nFollowing
  the program will be a short 2.5-mile night walk on the Park’s “Oh! Su
 sannah Trail”\nloop\, which will take about an hour and a half to comple
 te. Elevation gain for this loop is\nabout 173 feet. Hikers should wear ap
 propriate clothing and footwear (hiking shoes or\nboots and a coat)\, a fl
 ashlight or headlamp\, and a supply of water.\n\nThis program is free and 
 open to the public\, but we ask that you please register by Thursday\,\nSe
 pt. 24\, for a head count for the program.\n\nRegister now for this advent
