DESCRIPTION:EARTH DAY HIKE – Sunday April 21\, 2024 – Hike begins @ 2pm
  – Rain Cancels\n\n***NEW THIS YEAR***\nSign Ins will begin at 1:30 pm. 
 We will be offering a FREE brief informational talk by a Master Gardener a
 bout the importance of pollinator gardens and the removal of invasive plan
 ts and planting trees\, shrubs and ground cover.\n\nThese conservation pro
 jects are a joint program where volunteers and staff work together to care
  for the park. Learn all the things the Friends of Beltzville Volunteers d
 o to enhance our park. Donations welcome.\n\nCelebrate Earth Day the hikin
 g way! Join the Friends of Beltzville\, for a FREE EARTH DAY HIKE. This is
  family and dog friendly hike\, well-behaved pets on a leash are welcome t
 o attend. We'll be meeting at the Environmental Interpretive Center (EIC) 
 for the hike. We will hike from the Beltzville State Park Environmental In
 terpretive Center (EIC) along the shoreline\, tree ID trail and Ground Pin
 e Trail Complex. This hike will be approximately a 2.5 to 3 miles (easy-to
 -moderate). Please wear sturdy walking/hiking shoes\, and bring water. Len
 gth of time: Approximately One hour.\n***Please note that limited parking 
 is available at the EIC. Additional parking is available in Parking Lot C\
 , near the beach.\n\n***For last minute changes/cancellations due to weath
