SUMMARY:12TH ANNUAL ST. LUKE’S HOSPICE CHARITY BIKE RIDE
DESCRIPTION:Our annual Hospice Charity Bike Ride is in its 12th year.  10
 0 % of proceeds go directly to the St. Luke’s Hospice program to benefit
  patients and families at end of life.  Participants can choose to ride 2
 0 or 30 miles of the D &amp\; L Trail.  The ride begins and ends south of
  Jim Thorpe at the Lehighton Trailhead – one of the most dynamic section
 s of the trail.  St. Luke’s Hospice provides fire\, police\, and EMS su
 pport along the ride.  Snacks and beverages are available at two rest sto
 ps located at the Slatington Trailhead and at Treichler’s bridge.  Lunc
 h is provided at the end of the ride.\nRain Date is June 4th.\nOur audienc
 e is from novice to expert cyclist and from young to old.  We have had a 
 span from 8 years to 70 years old ride at our event.  It is family and pe
 t friendly.  Our ride attracts all levels of riders with many types of bi
 kes and from all over the area including family and friends who travels fr
 om other states to ride in memory of a loved one.
