You can log miles on the Trail Tracker 365 days a year but miles completed and logged 4/1/18 to 4/30/18 will count toward the Move More in April Challenge!

Over the 30 day period, we challenge you to log 30 miles on a path to healthy habits and a healthy you. The Move More in April Challenge is the fourth challenge using the new and improved Tail on the Trail website which now tracks a lot more details (time spent exercising, healthy lifestyle habits, group data and more) and helps program coordinators continue to expand and fund this nationally recognized program.

Log at least 30 miles on your dashboard between April 1 and 11:59pm on April 30 to be entered in a raffle for a heart rate monitor as the incentive for the Move More in April Challenge. Miles completed (or entered online) outside those dates would not count. You can use many exercise types (walk, bike, run, hike, rollerblade . . ) and many locations (trails, neighborhood sidewalks, outdoor track, the beach). The bottom line is to GET OUT and GET ACTIVE! If bad weather forces you indoors, there is an option to log miles completed on indoor cardio equipment like treadmills and ellipticals and when weather improves we hope you get back outdoors for the added benefits of fresh air, improved mental health, experiencing nature, and learning about the history along the regional trails.

April is an exciting month for health and for trails and we will be celebrating those connections. National Walking Day is April 4 and National Opening Day for Trails is April 7 so we have events planned on both days.
